Caitlyn Wilson was born in Clarksville, TN and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Her work includes abstract drawings, paintings, and installations, which have been exhibited both nationally and internationally. In 2013 Caitlyn graduated cum laude from Austin Peay State University with a BFA in Studio Art, and has since used her work as a means of questioning the socio-political current by relating past to present through form, space, and language. She views her work as a way of implementing her physical surroundings and culture into her practice through the lens of her own implicit bias.
Caitlyn recently received the Gonzales Graduate Recognition award at the University of Washington, where she received her MFA degree.
